There's Money in Dogs

There is money with your pets. You just have to learn how to do it. For most dog owners, pet grooming is a part of pet maintenance. Although dogs do not need to take a bath as much often as people needs, they still require to bathe once in a while. That is where dog grooming comes in. But how do you start a dog grooming business. First of all, you need to consider your dog grooming supplies or dog grooming tools, dog grooming tables and such. But before you go and buy all these things, you need to know some grooming basics.

Before bathing a dog, you need to brush its hair first. Brushing your dog's hair will lessen the chances of it getting all tangled up. Dog grooming brushes are different from ordinary brushes since they are especially made to remove your dog's dander.

Next is nail trimming. This can be very tricky since some dogs do not want people to touch their toes. You have to start trimming your dog's nails while their still puppies to let them get used to it. Do remember to just trim the very end of your dog's nail because it can hurt them if you push it too far.

After doing these steps, you can finally take the dog for a bath. Make sure to brush each and every corner to prevent any lice from infesting your dogs. Do take your dog for a bath every other day to prevent certain dog skin diseases from happening.

Make sure that you also clean you dog's ear to prevent any bacteria or yeast in making your dog's ear its new home.

Now haircut is the most essential part of dog grooming. Some customers go for mobile dog grooming services to save time. But if its not available, then they usually go to their favorite local dog groomers. Now, it is always important to know if your dog groomer did went to a dog grooming school or dog grooming training to make sure that they do know what they're doing.

How To Choose The Best Dog Food For Your Pet

Choosing the best dog food for your dog might be a little challenging because there are a lot of dog foods in that market today. But what do you have to know to choose the best dog food for your pet?

First off, you need to check the label. Knowing the vitamins and mineral it has, the better. Dogs need calcium for stronger teeth and bones. They also need protein for energy and resistance. Just like us, they also need these vitamins and minerals to stay active and healthy. There are dog food coupons that you can sometimes get at grocery stores where they let you try their new products. There's no harm in trying it out since it's for free.

Checking dog food reviews in magazines and on the internet is also a good thing to do when knowing what the best dog food for your dog is. You can actually see the vitamin and mineral content in some dog food coupons. If you do have a spare money, making your own natural dog food can be an option as well. But that would be kind of expensive and not to mention time consuming since you actually have to make them yourself.

Knowing the right dog diet food for his dog food diet. A can dog food or a bag of dry dog food can be an option. But do consider wellness dog food as well since they contain more vitamins and minerals. Free dog food at the grocery store can be an option too. But it pays to check the label. A good dog food has the vitamins and minerals that it needs.

What Its Like to Have a Toy Poodle

This is Casper and he's a toy poodle. My parents "dognapped" him and I think that I won't be able to get him back in a few months because my parents just fell in love with him.

Casper's one of the best dogs there is (except for my other dog named Sakura). He's an attention whore but in a very cute way. We don't have a baby in the house and I don't live with them anymore as well so they treat my dog as their little baby.

Toy poodles are known to be a very intelligent dog breed. I really had to choose what dog breed is good for my kind of lifestyle because I am living in an apartment (until my parents again, dognapped my pooch). Since Casper is a toy breed, I didn't really had any problems with his dog behavior (although he yelped for quite a few days).

Another thing that's really good with toy poodles is that they don't shed a lot. I rarely see him shred. But since they have a rather curly hair, brushing him daily is a must or it will get tangled up and cause even more problems.

Other than that, toy poodles are actually a good pet.

How To Analyze Your Puppies

Have you ever had a dog that barks too much or just seems to act so meanie on other dogs? Now, this is not a rare case and I do know that dog owners do experience it at one point or another? But how did this happen? How did this cute puppy turn out to be a little monster? Maybe, your little angel is not that cute after all or even worse, you might be the one to be blamed for it.

Let's face it: dogs are still animals and they cannot really understand how society works. They only know how to response on situations that they experience at that very moment. Usually, their responses are something that are innate to them. Understanding the behavior of a dog is necessary before letting him undergo a dog behavior training.

Animals are territorial. They mark their territory with their scents. Now, you might notice your dog just peeing everywhere. She might just be marking her territory so do make sure that you take her out whenever she's about to pee.

Dogs work in a pack, same as wolves. Now, a pack has a pack leader. If your dog notices that you're too lenient on him, then he might actually test your leadership by trying to overpower you in some way. Now, you might think that its cute for your dog to tag your clothes or pull you around when you take him for a walk. But little do you know that he's actually testing your leadership. Show some authority: hold a firm grip when you take him for a walk. Always put an authority on your voice when you give a command. In that way, he will know that you are the boss and the "pack leader."

Like any other parent, I also do not believe in violence. In fact, you don't really need to even lay a finger on your dog just to make him behave. Proper understanding and knowing the very nature of your pet is the only way of preventing him from turning into a monster.

You might want to consider behavior dog training to correct your pet's aggressive dog behavior.
